RAPID ACTION DOORS - SPEEDROLLER

The speedroller is an electrically driven fast action roller door. These doors are used in industrial and commercial buildings for purposes of energy saving, draught exclusion and climate control.

SPECIFICATION, CONSTRUCTION

The speedroller is not fitted with balance springs and consists of a door curtain which is wound on a steel roller above the door opening by means of an electric motor/gearbox. The door curtain is made up of horizontal polyester reinforced plastic sections. The door curtain contains a transparent vision section at between 1200 mm and 2200 mm from the floor. The closing edge of the door consists of an aluminium beam fitted with a flexible rubber seal. The door curtain is guided in U-shaped profiles fitted with brush seals. The side guides form an integral whole with the bearing plates for fixing the top roller and drive unit.

DRIVE

The drive unit consists of an electric motor/gearbox unit, which drives the drum directly and is fitted as standard with an anti-roll-off device. Drive unit mounted on the right (standard location) or on the left.

CONTROLS

The electrical control box contains a control PCB offering the following standard functions:

-		open position duration adjustable between 5 - 80 seconds
-		"service mode" for assembly and maintenance
-		LED indicators enabling rapid fault finding

OPERATION

As standard the control box has 2 push buttons (open-close), an emergency/stop switch and a 4-pole disconnectable main power switch.
Various actuators can be used.

PERFORMANCE

The opening and closing speed is 1 m/s

SAFETY

-		in the event of power failure the door can be cranked open by hand
-		the lower beam is fitted with a self-testing safety edge, which stops the door and immediately opens it again when the door encounters an obstacle while closing. The door then remains open until reset
-		a safety photocell with a reflector is mounted on the guide channels (400 mm from the floor) as standard. When the beam is interrupted the door will not close
-		the drive unit is specified with an integrated anti-roll-off device
