Insulated Sectional Overhead Doors Specification
Insulated Door Panels
The insulated panel is formed from 2 galvanised steel sheets with a minimum thickness of 0.5mm bonded together with a CFC free polyurethane foam. Each panel has a capillary break to eliminate water ingress and an internal stiffener at the point where the panels are hinged together to give a permanent fixing point.
The insulation value is 0.44 W/M2 for a standard 50mm thick panel.
Side Tracks
Cold rolled galvanised side tracks and angles are manufactured to suit each individual door opening, size and track system.
Guide Rollers and Brackets
The guide rollers are fixed on either side of the door at approximately 530mm centres. Each roller has a greased sealed ball race bearing to give a quiet and smooth operation. Each bracket is fixed through a strategically positioned internal strengthener within the door panel to give increased rigidity.
Counterbalance Springs
Each door has a counter balance spring assembly mounted on shafts attached to the structure by suitable bearing plates. Each spring assembly is individually calculated to suit the door size and lift system to ensure the smooth operation of the door.
Seals
The door is complete with a rubber bottom seal and top seal, each side track also incorporates a seal between the door panels and jamb angle.
Locking
A spring loaded shootbolt is supplied on all manual doors (padlock by others). Locking is not provided on electric doors unless quoted in writing.
Manual Operation
Doors up to a maximum of 12m² can be push up pull down operated by means of a pull rope. Doors can be manually operated by a geared endless hand chain system up to an area of 25m².
Electric Operation
415 volt 3 phase electric operation can be provided if requested complete with open and close limit switches. An emergency manual override is provided. Special electrical systems are available, please contact our office with your requirements.
Finish
All side and horizontal tracks are galvanised. Bottom and top seal extrusions are mill finished aluminium. Panels are supplied as standard in a white primed finish. Panels are also available in plastisol finish on either or both sides and a limited range of P.V.F.2 colours are available.
Vision Windows
Rectangular windows are available with an anti burglary type frame and can be positioned in various combinations within the door.
