Insulated Roller Shutter Specification

Lath
Each section is 90mm deep with a twin ribbed face providing increased rigidity. Each lath is retained with an endlock to prevent lateral movement and is infilled with CFC Free insulation. The bottom lath incorporates a purpose made extrusion and neoprene seal. Various finishes are available including HP200 Plastisol range, Polyester Powder Coat or Lightweight Aluminium.

Guides
The guides are a cold rolled, purpose designed galvanised section. This incorporates a vertical brush seal to the inside faces, between the lath and the guides.

Roller Barrel Manual Operation
Constructed from mild steel tube of suitable outside diameter and wall thickness to suit shutter application.
The barrel encases helical springs which are securely fitted inside the barrel, and are supported by purpose made cast iron or SG iron castings. The spring's counter-balance the shutter. The roller barrel is operated via a suitable reduction chain system, or chain and gear system via an endless galvanised steel hand chain.

Roller Barrel Electrical Operation
Constructed from mild steel tube of suitable diameter and wall thickness to suit shutter application.
The barrel encases two dummy end shafts each supported by solid support discs. The barrel is supported at either end by self lubricating bearings, and complete with overspead safety bearing.

Roller Brackets
Of suitable design, and not less than 6mm. Fitted with suitable cleats for fixing the structure.

Door Locking (Manual doors only)
A pressed steel locking box is fitted to the side guide to secure the hand chain when the door is not in use, and is designed to accept the clients own security padlock.

Finish
Standard finish is galvanised. A range of approximately 30 different colours are available for the outside and inside of the door curtain (refer to colour chart section). The plastisol colours are designed to either match or contrast to the external building cladding sheets. Powder coat finish is available, but not recommended for insulated roller shutters.

Headseal
100mm or 150mm nylon brush strip is supplied to fix to the underside of the Lintel to run against the lath of the door.

Manual Operation
Doors up to 4.5m x 4.5m are available with endless hand chain operation.

Electrical Operation
Any size of door can be electrically operated.

Electric Specification
380/415 Volt 3 phase 50 cycles motor of suitable horse power to lift door weight. Motor complete with integral limit switches, electrical starter with open, close and stop buttons, protected by a thermal overload unit.
240 Volt motors can be supplied at a small additional cost, but are generally used only on smaller applications. An emergency manual facility is supplied on all doors.
