INSULATED SECTIONAL OVERHEAD DOORS - SPECIFICATION

PANELS

Manufactured from 40 mm thick insulated Kingspan steel panels, 610 mm high with an insulated core of polyurethane, giving a 'U' value of 0.4 to 0.47 W/M2 per degree C.

SEALS

Supplied complete with full head, side, and bottom seals as standard.

COUNTERBALANCE

Torsion springs, individually calculated for each door, and mounted on a horizontal shaft supported by suitable bearings. Galvanized steel lifting cables coil around die-cast helical groove drums to suit the door track arrangement.

TRACK

The track arrangement is based upon available space. Standard lift is the most popular. Low headroom, high lift, contour lift and vertical lift are available at additional cost.

HARDWARE

Vertical tracks are mounted on continuous vertical angles for fitting to a prepared opening. Graduated end hinges/roller brackets are provided to give a wedge action sealing the door against the jambs in the closed position.

SAFETY

Springs come complete with spring break safety devices. The door is fitted with cable break safety devices.

OPERATIONS AVAILABLE

Push up operation, hand chain operation and electrical operation.
240 volt single phase equipment available at extra cost.

LOCKING

Push up and hand chain operated doors are locked by standard internal spring loaded shootbolt. Locking is normally omitted on electric doors although as an extra, shootbolts can be fitted with electrical interlock switches to isolate the power to the motor should the door remain locked.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Double glazed acrylic windows, wicket doors, external weatherproof controls, radio control, induction loops, adjustable timer close, self-testing safety edge, safety photo-cells.

PRODUCT STANDARD

The door is manufactured in accordance with product standard BS EN 13241-1:2003.
